Manual Lymphatic Drainage
Brazilian Flavia Morellato Method
What is the Lymphatic system?
The Lymphatic system is part of the defence system of the human body, it consists of Lymph nodes, that is a complex network of vessels responsible for transporting the lymph fluid from the tissues to the circulatory system.
Without our Lymphatic system, there is no immunity to defend illnesses, the Lymphatic system is responsible for removing excess fluid and proteins from the tissues and returning them to the blood stream, and then flowing back to the heart.
What the Flavia Morellato method does?
Firstly, this method is unique. Inspired by Flavia’s physiotherapeutic background it has been developed which differ from the commonly practiced techniques due to the immediate results with different levels of pressure it makes the journey a lot more pleasurable with techniques to boost total lymphatic collection, improving results and making them last longer and offering results that go beyond the treated area. We use a specific cream which activates lymphatic and circulatory flow which is non-oily and easily absorbed. Also using long strokes throughout the clients limbs, not a circular feather-like touch.
This method focuses on gut manoeuvres, assisting with bloating, constipation and other digestive issues and applied to the body helping clients feel lighter and flatter from the first session.
We can adapt to each condition
How does it work?
This powerful technique, in addition to fighting swelling and water retention, improves blood circulation, tissue oxygenation, self-esteem, elimination of toxins as well as shaping your body.
Your therapist will collect the fluid build-up and drain to the closest lymph nodes and it also incorporates gut manoeuvres to stimulate your digestion and de-bloat blockages of trapped gas in the gut for your wellbeing.
Lymphatic drainage massage can help to support the lymphatic system and promote overall gut health by stimulating lymphatic flow, reducing inflammation, and supporting immune function, however, its important to note that lymphatic drainage massage is not suitable for medical treatment and should be used as part of a comprehensive approach to gut health, including proper nutrition, exercise, and other lifestyle factors
